OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PCONSCAVA SPARKLING WINE PRESERVER

Description:

The portable PCONSCAVA preserver allows for the conservation of sparkling wines, ensuring they retain their characteristic bubbles and effervescence each time a previously opened bottle is used.

The system consists of a gas refilling station and the desired number of stopper-seals. These stoppers are inserted into each bottle after opening and whenever a glass of sparkling wine is poured.

It is suitable for bottles ranging from three-eighths to Magnum sizes or even larger.
The system uses CO2 gas, the same gas used in champagnes.
The gas is sourced from CO2 cylinders typically used for carbonating water, etc.
Note: All components of the PCONSCAVA system are available individually.

Usage:

Each time you open a bottle, whether new or by removing a stopper-seal, insert the stopper-seal after pouring the desired glasses. It is not necessary to insert it with excessive force; simply ensure it is securely attached to the bottle’s neck.

To pour glasses from a bottle with a stopper-seal, gently press down on the protruding part at the top of the stopper to release some gas, then remove the stopper-seal.

Model P-SC-PRO:

Tap the Tecvino logo with a finger; a green or red light will indicate whether the battery (CR2032 type) is charged (green) or needs replacement (red or no light). The battery is accessible by removing the cover.

A green light on the CO2 icon indicates optimal gas charge, amber indicates sufficient gas but requires attention, and red indicates the need to replace the gas cylinder.

If the battery is drained, proceed as described for the P-SC-PA model below. To replace the battery, remove the base cover (see Using the CO2 Cylinder section below), where the battery is accessible.

Next, insert the bottle into the refilling system as shown, pressing lightly upward.

If using the tabletop version of PCONSCAVA, hold it by placing a hand on the top to prevent it from tipping over.

Keep the bottle inserted until the green or amber light turns on again to ensure the sparkling wine is protected. If the red light remains on, the bottle may not be adequately preserved; replace the gas cylinder and try again. The gas charge may be very quick, and the green or amber light may not even flicker. In this case, wait 2 or 3 seconds before removing the bottle. Note that keeping the bottle inserted longer does not add more gas or improve preservation.

Model P-SC-PA:

Insert the stopper-seal into the bottle as described for the P-SC-PRO model.

If using the tabletop version of PCONSCAVA, hold it by placing a hand on the top to prevent it from tipping over.

Keep the bottle inserted for about 6 to 7 seconds (depending on how empty the sparkling wine bottle is), then remove the bottle. Note that keeping it inserted longer does not add more gas or improve preservation.

CO2 Cylinders and How to Obtain Them:

Bottles can be stored vertically or at an angle, ensuring the wine does not touch the stopper-seal.

The system uses CO2 cylinders of the type used for carbonating water.
Compatible cylinders include brands such as Sodastream, GasUp, Philips, Carbonair, etc.
Do not store CO2 cylinders near heat sources.
Note that cylinders are refillable and can be exchanged at the supplier where they were purchased. When empty, they are returned, and a refilled unit is provided or purchased immediately.

Cylinders must contain 425 grams of CO2 and are available at stores such as Hipercor, El Corte Inglés, MediaMarkt, Amazon, carbonaigas.com, etc.

Ensure the cylinder matches the one shown in the image, paying attention to the neck shape and threading.
It is critical that the cylinder is not a Quick Connect type; it must be threaded, and if purchased outside the EU, the thread must be 1500 TR2 1.4. For any doubts, contact info@tecvino.com.
The above information is provided as an example, and Tecvino is not responsible for changes that may cause incompatibility with the offered system.

Warning: Quick Connect cylinders are NOT compatible.

Using the CO2 Cylinder:

Both the PCONSCAVA machine and the cylinder must be in a vertical position.

Remove the plastic cap from the cylinder head, as shown in the final image.

Slide off the cover that forms part of the machine’s column, as shown in the images.
If a CO2 cylinder is already inserted, firmly turn it counterclockwise with one hand to remove it.

Position the new cylinder in its slot, turning it slightly to secure it in place.
Then, firmly screw it in until it is fully secured and does not leak gas (if turned too slowly, some gas may escape).

WARNING: Do not use tools to insert or turn the gas cylinder. It is normal to feel some coldness in the cylinder if gas escapes slightly.

If gas continues to leak after inserting the cylinder, unscrew it and try again.
Once securely fastened with no leaks, reattach the column cover you removed.
The preservation system is now ready for use.

Basic Care:

Ensure no dirt enters the system components.
Depending on the cooling system used to store the bottle, the stopper-seal may be subject to accidental impacts, potentially causing gas loss. To ensure optimal preservation, for bottles with low turnover, periodically check the pressure by briefly inserting them into the refilling system.

Stopper-seals can be cleaned with water, which should not contain salts, etc.

Warranty:

The PCONSCAVA system has a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase, covering the replacement of defective parts, except in cases of misuse. The customer must send the defective component to the manufacturer’s address in suitable packaging, with the customer responsible for any damage caused during shipping due to inadequate packaging.

Gas cylinders, even if empty, must NOT be sent. If sent, the sender assumes responsibility, and Tecvino will not refund any cylinders received.

Shipping the component for repair requires manufacturer authorization. In such cases, shipping costs from the customer to the manufacturer (within the Iberian Peninsula) are covered by the manufacturer. For the warranty to be valid, the device must not have been opened, tampered with, or subjected to uses or conditions beyond those considered normal or explicitly stated.

The customer must also send a copy of the purchase invoice, including the device’s serial number (located on the bottom of the refilling station), to the manufacturer’s address or to info@tecvino.com.
The serial number is engraved on the refilling system’s label, and no warranty will be provided if the invoice date exceeds the manufacturing date by more than 30 days.
